Go Green!
BWB Custom Builders is committed to using environmentally sustainable practices and energy-efficient technologies when designing and building homes. From the very inception of our business we strove to produce homes that would stand the test of time. These homes were solidly built with materials and techniques intended to last for generations, like the best homes of days past. Today we have the same criteria for our homes, but we have become aware of the need to do so in a manner that is not harmful to our natural environment, our work crews, and the homeowners.
Effective green building begins with the initial site planning, and carries through to the finishes used in the house. The end result is a house that has been built without harming our environment, is more energy efficient, and is overall a more pleasant, satisfying structure to live in.
What is Green Building?
"Building Green" began when a small percentage of socially-conscious builders focused on energy efficiency and material consumption.
Today, green building is the new standard for quality construction, aided by third party certification groups such as LEED (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design), the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Green Building Program and EarthCraft House. These green standards provide measurable third party certification that the house has met certain criteria involving both building design and construction. |

The techniques used in green building employ good building practices and improved materials. The results are homes that can reduce energy consumption and waste while enhancing homeowners' quality of life, by improving comfort and air quality.
Visual Test
BWB Custom Builders' scientific approach to remodeling starts with a FREE in-home consultation to visually inspect the interior and exterior of the home.
This multi-point visual inspection evaluates the condition of the home’s weatherization components such as weather-stripping, door sweeps, caulking and flashing; the condition and type of insulation; and all mechanical systems including air conditioning equipment, water heaters and appliances. A visual audit of your home by one of our experts will provide a full analysis and report on the overall efficiency and functionality of the energy consuming features of your home and identify areas where cost effective improvements can be made to lower your utility bills and increase your comfort, health and safety
